MOOSE JAW — Ecole Palliser Heights School Community Council (SCC) is asking for businesses and anyone interested to help financially with a project to build an inclusive playground that will benefit not only the school but also the wider community.
The goal is to raise $125,000 to help create a space where children of all abilities can play and interact with each other. Ecole Palliser Heights school community has already raised about $100,000 and is looking for corporate sponsors to help them complete this project.
“We believe that an inclusive playground is an important addition to our school and community,” said Kristin McKee, Ecole Palliser Heights SCC chair.
“It will provide children with physical and social opportunities to grow, learn, and have fun. It will also allow families with children of different abilities to come together and enjoy outdoor play.
“To achieve our goal, we are seeking donations from local businesses. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping us create a safe, fun, and inclusive space for children. We will proudly display our donors' generous contributions on a donation wall, recognizing different levels of support: Friends of Ecole Palliser Heights ($250-$499), Bronze ($500-$999), Silver ($1000-$1999), Gold ($2000-$5000) and Platinum ($5000 and above).”
Charitable receipts are available for all donations.
