ASSINIBOIA— In a continuation of their dominance in the Notekeu Hockey League, the Assiniboia Sr. Rebels swept the Hodgeville Huskies in the quarter-final league playoffs, a best-of-five series. They now await their opponent for semifinal action.
The Rebels face either Lafleche or Mossbank in the league semifinals, with the Lafleche Flyers leading the Blades two games as of Feb. 11, third game to be held Feb. 13 and games four and five, if needed, on Feb. 14 and 16. Notable is that Lafleche needed OT in the first two games to capture the victories, showcasing how strong the teams are in this league.
Feb. 15, the Rebels Sr. started their provincial quest in the HockeySask Provincial Sr. C division, playing Oxbow.
