The death of Walter Zirk, age 80 years of Saskatoon, occurred Thursday, November 20, 2014 at St. Paul’s Hospital. The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church – 812 Preston Avenue, Saskatoon. Walter is survived by his wife Gladys, daughters Shelley (Felix) Viguie, Melody (Wayne) Frohlich, son Parker (Sharon) Zirk and seven grandchildren Christopher (Matty), Jennifer (Cole), Dakota, Darby, Ryan, Kylie and Emmy. Also his brothers William and Herb (Darlene) Zirk and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Derrick and ten brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Paul’s Hospital. The family expresses a special thanks to the doctors and nurses while he was in palliative care. Interment to be held at a later date in Shaunavon, SK. Arrangements are entrusted to Prairie View Chapel and Crematorium. Phone 306-242-7884.
