Violet E. Hart, late of Weyburn, passed away at Hilltop Manor, Weyburn on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the age of 92 years. Violet was predeceased by her parents, Asta and Nicholas Nelson; husband, Morley Hart; two brothers, Melvin and Walter Nelson; sisters-in-law, Naomi and Marguerite Nelson; and brother-in-law, Leonard Myer. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marlene Hart of Moose Jaw; two sons, Garnet (Barb) Hart of Weyburn, and Bruce (Leslie) Hart of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Shaun Hart (Jessica Bronsch) and Kendra Hart; sister, Alice Myer as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Violet was born on January 14, 1921 in the Wheaton area. She received her education at Wheaton School. Violet married Morley Hart on December 20, 1945 and they farmed in the Talmage area until they moved to Weyburn in 1988. In 2005, Violet moved into her new home at Hilltop Manor and became part of a new family for eight years. Violet was a member of the Weyburn Legion Branch #47 and also a regular patron at the Weyburn Senior Center after moving into Weyburn. She loved gardening, taking great pride in her tomatoes. Violet also enjoyed curling, sewing, playing cards, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and especially watching her sons play baseball. Violet will be remembered for her quiet, soft-spoken nature. She looked forward to visits from her children and two dear grandchildren. Shaun and Kendra had a special place in her heart and she found great pleasure in watching them grow. Cremation took place in Regina. A Memorial Service was held Monday, April 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM from Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn with Reverend John Ferrier officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn. Honorary pallbearers were Elva Nelson, Dwila Hofmeister, Leona Popowich, Vera Wodzinski, Jean Wawro and Anne Paslawski.
