Stanley Arnold Nyhus, born September 8, 1943, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2017 at the age of 74 years. Stan was predeceased by his mother, Mary Kirsliuk; father, Otto Nyhus; step mother, Annie Nyhus; brother, Bob Nyhus and brother-in-law, Ken Runtz. Stan will be remembered by his wife of 44 years, Rita Nyhus; son, Mark (Tonya) Nyhus; son, Wesley (Noel) Nyhus; daughter, Sherry Thue; grandchildren, Shelby and Tyson Thue; Brother, Larry (Sharon) Nyhus; sisters, Betty Nyhus-Runtz, Elaine (Dave) Botkin and Loretta (Don) Peters; brother in law, Michael Allsopp; sister in law, Marlene (Doug) McEwan and Margaret (Joe) Gilmore as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Private Family Service took place Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, with Reverend M. Barnabas officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
