It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sandra Elaine Bell. Sandra was born on October 22, 1949 in Weyburn and passed away September 3, 2013, at the age of 63 years. She was the youngest of Hubert and Velma Calladine's four children. Sandra met the love of her life, David Bell, while in high school. She graduated in 1967 and married her sweetheart in May of 1968. They started their journey together in Weyburn, but shortly after moved to Colgate to start farming. They celebrated the birth of their son Steven born in December 1969, followed by the birth of their daughter Tanya in June of 1972. In 1975 they bought a section and a half of land where they remodelled the house that was there and moved in. Sandy started her career at SaskTel shortly after high school and worked there off and on until she semi-retired. Sandy had a variety of part-time jobs throughout the years such as; school bus driver, working at the Weyburn Livestock Exchange, Ag society as well as helping Dave with farming (she was not sure why she didn't get to run the tractor with the air conditioning and radio). Sandy had many loves in life; her husband, two children, five grandchildren and all of her furry four-legged babies (puppies) being the most important. Her passion for gardening, canning and creating many delicious meals were enjoyed by many family members and friends. Her hobbies included bowling, curling, and golfing where she was able to be with her great friends, creating many fabulous memories. She did enjoy reading, and cross-stitching in her spare time (not that she had much of that). Sandy belonged to the Quota Club for three years where she was able to utilize her many different skills. She created many beautiful wedding cakes for family and close friends as well as a variety of birthday cakes. Sandy was an organizer; she loved getting involved in organizing family functions and special events. Her love of the holidays showed as she was sure to have the house and most times even had the outside of the house and yard decorated for every holiday season. Sandy's love of sports started when she was in High School. She became an avid fan of the local recreational hockey team, the Colgate Comets which Dave was participating in. She thoroughly enjoyed watching all sorts of sports on TV such as Pro Golf and the NHL games. Sandy's all-time favorite past time was cheering on her favorite CFL team the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Sandra was predeceased by her mother and father, Velma (nee: Olson) and Hubert Calladine; father-in-law Gordon Bell; brothers-in-law: Harvey Ledingham, Archie Bell, Walter Bell; sisters-in-law: Linda Bell, Carroll Bell.
