Rosalie Joyce Killian passed away on August 1, 2013 in Weyburn, at the age of 75 years. She was born on June 29, 1938 to August and Rosina Dorwart at Gravelbourg. She grew up on a farm south of Weyburn. Rosalie married the love of her life, Dorlyn, at the age of 17. Together they moved to Marmora, Ontario where their son, Glen was born. In time Dorlyn purchased some farmland from his dad and they returned to the Weyburn area. Their family grew with the addition of two more children and Rosalie settled into a life of a farmer and mother. She is predeceased by her husband, Dorlyn; eldest son, Glen, parents, August and Rose Dorwart and a brother-in-law, Ron Benning. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her son, Miles; daughter, Roxanne (Kelly) Paul; daughter-in-law, Michelle; sisters, Florence Benning and Evelyn (Lawrence) Forand; grandchildren, Megan Paul and Marlow, Shaun and Amanda Killian as well as several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, August 9, at 2:00 pm from Zion Lutheran Church in Weyburn, with Pastor Martin Olson officiating. Interment took place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn.
