Bob was born and raised in Â鶹ÊÓƵern Saskatchewan. It was there that he met and married Alice Wick, his wife of 67 years and where they took over his parent's family homestead. In 1953 they made a family decision to relocate to BC, ultimately settling in Burnaby. Bob then began his career with Scott Paper in New Westminster retiring in 1985. Bob and Alice very much enjoyed raising their three children in the Burnaby and New Westminster communities. They continued to call the area home for the rest of his life, settling in to Thornebridge Gardens Assisted Living facility in 2007. They enjoyed camping and exploring the backcountry and lakes in beautiful BC. Their retirement included the Arizona Snowbird routine and more exotic travels with friends. Bob was pre-deceased by his siblings Malcolm and Muriel and son-in-law Randy Tirk. In addition to his wife Alice, he leaves behind their children Barry (Linda), Carol Tirk and Wade (Shannon), grandchildren Jodi Drake (Jol), Jared, Marty, Cory, Danby and Jamie, and great grandchildren Chelsea and Owen, sisters-in-law Norma Lohse and Mary Wick and brother-in-law Sam Bendickson, many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
