The family of Rena Burton, late of Weyburn and formerly of Arcola, announce her passing on Monday, March 11, 2013 at the age of 96 years. Rena was born November 3, 1916 in the Alameda district and lived her 64 years of married life to Ron Burton mostly on the farm in the Willmar district. After retiring from farming, Rena and Ron resided in Arcola. Following Ron's passing in February 2008, Rena lived in Weyburn. Rena was also predeceased by her parents, James and Elizabeth Hamilton; daughter, Judy Schmidt, granddaughters, Lindsay Farrell and Tracy Schwager. She is survived by her son, Calvin Burton, Arcola; daughter, Nancy (Pat) Farrell, Creelman; grandchildren, Stacy (Brad) Kowal, Tyler (Shannon) Schmidt, Christy (Dale) Burton, Chad Burton, Jason (Teresa) Farrell and Alyssa Farrell (Josh); seven great grandchildren; sister, Jean Avery, North Bay, ON; several nieces and nephews. Memorial service was held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 16 from St. Andrew's United Church, Arcola, with Rev. Michelle Moore officiating. Interment in Arcola Cemetery.
