Olga was born in Kazmirulfka Volin, Poland on May 25, 1927. Olga went to school in Poland where she learned to speak several languages. She was the eldest, with two younger brothers and helped out a lot looking after them. When the war broke out their family moved into East Germany. Near the end of the war Olga was working for the Red Cross. The family then were reunited and came to Canada in 1948. They arrived in Yorkton at the beginning of May. Olga came to Weyburn at that time on her own and lived with her aunt, uncle and cousins. She went to work with her uncle at the battery. Those were hard times for Olga as she did not know English. Later the remaining family members all settled in Weyburn. Olga married, moving to Griffin on the farm. They had two sons Gilbert and Eddie Schroeder. They moved to Midale where they raised their two sons. Olga eventually met Harry Forsberg and they were married in 1976. Olga and Harry built a beautiful home in Midale. Olga enjoyed her home, gardening, needle point, knitting, and crocheting while Harry continued to farm. Olga also was working at the Midale hospital, cooking. She was a very busy lady. At the hospital they loved her cooking and her special treats that she would make. Olga and Harry enjoyed doing some traveling when time permitted, they went on a couple of cruises. Then in 1991 Olga and Harry retired into Weyburn, they were again kept busy making crafts, going to farmers markets and craft sales. The enjoyment out of these trips were all the new friends and different people they would meet. In the winter months Olga would help out making quilts at the church and other special events. The highlight of Olga's week was on Sunday mornings when she could worship her Lord and Savior with her fellow members, hugging many of them. Visitation was held Thursday, September 5 from 7:0-9:00 p.m. at RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn.
