Nora Bushel of Hilltop Manor in Weyburn, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Nora was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Annie Johnston; husband, George Bushel; two sisters, Evelyn Luffman and Muriel Simpson; four brothers, Ellwood Johnston, Harvey Johnston, Stanley Johnston and Murray Johnston. She will be lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Nora was born and raised on the family farm at Kisbey on October 3, 1920. In 1942 she married George Bushel and they lived together at Kisbey until 1958 when they moved into Weyburn. Later in 2002, after some illness, she moved into Hilltop Manor. Nora was a wonderful homemaker, an avid gardener as well as yard keeper. She also loved crocheting, knitting, tatting and to sew. Nora loved spending time with family, neighbours and friends over a cup of coffee or a meal. She will be sadly missed. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 17 from Fletcher Funeral Chapel with Sylvia Fitzgerald, DLM officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn. Pallbearers were Ron Johnston, Jim Johnston, Harold Johnston, Jason Sample, Scott Moffat and Kevin Moffat. Donations in memory of Nora may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
