It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrna Nagy after a courageous battle with cancer. Myrna passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 4, 2013. To mourn her loss are her children: daughters Kelly (Brad) with grandchildren Lindsay (Chev), Chase (Whitney), Devon (Katie) and Braden, Shauna (Bob) with grandchildren Dustin (Allison), Kassi (Troy), Jenna (Wayne), Pam (Rod) with grandchildren Shelbi, Brittinay, Jacey, and Tanner; son Troy (Kathy) with grandchildren Meagan (Richard), Codie (Niki) and Regan. Also great grandchildren Raylee, Dailyn, Nixon, Kruz, Wayne, Sadie; sisters Coralie Libby, Judy and Sharon Kyle; brothers Gordon and Howard Kyle as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Myrna was born in Bengough in 1939. After living in several communities in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Myrna and family moved to Ogema in 1974 and bought the hotel. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved working outside in her big, beautiful yard. Various plants and colorful flowers always blooming! And that huge Crabapple tree! Many great memories were made in that backyard and will always be held in our hearts! Mom had a great love for animals and music. Always having dogs, cats and birds to liven up her house along with the music of Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Reid and country music always playing in the kitchen! Myrna also worked as a hair dresser for 25 years in Ogema. During her career we were lucky enough to have "free" haircuts for three generations of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!! She really enjoyed visiting with her clients (friends) over the years and was very thankful for their support. Moms wish was to stay at home during her illness. That was made possible up until a week before her passing. Words can never express how thankful we are for all of the care and help mom received from neighbors, friends and homecare girls. Mom spent the last week of her life in the Bengough Personal Care Home. The care and compassion she received from Dr. Oberholzer, nurses and staff was second to none and we are so thankful for that! What a beautiful place! A service of remembrance for Myrna was held on Monday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ogema United Church, Ogema with Rev. Isabella Frank, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Honorary pallbearers were all in attendance. For family and friends so wishing, donations in memory of Myrna may be made to Pangman EMS Box 90, Pangman, SK, S0C 2C0 or Bengough Health Centre 400 2nd St, Bengough, SK, S0C 0K0.Arrangements were entrusted to RD Family Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Weyburn (306-848-0333 ~ 1-888-848-0333).
