She also liked to sew and made many things for the family. Baking was a necessity and also one of May’s hobbies. She loved baking and preparing large quantity meals. She had a big family and many large family get togethers, so preparing large amounts of food was necessary. As well, living on the farm there were always neighbours dropping in for coffee and they never left her house hungry. May and Albin did a lot of dancing over the years. It was nothing for them to drive miles to find a dance and sometimes they did this several times a week. May was an active member of the United Church Women and was always willing to volunteer her time and donate her homemade angel food cakes. Albin and May enjoyed many trips to Ontario and Iowa to visit family. They loved to travel to the homes of their children and visit with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. May will be loving rememberd by her son, Rick (Diane) of Estevan, and family, Jason (Chantelle) and Daniyale (Steven); daughter, Bev (Murray) Moore of Carlyle, and family, Darcy (Kimberley) and Kimberly (Rick); son, Barry (Joyce) of North Portal, and family Alicia (Darren) and Jaret (Lisa); daughter, Lora Lee (Jim) Clark of Alameda, and family, Jamie (Ryan), Shaun and Shane; 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Neil Gillespie as well as many nieces and nephews.
