Mary Klein passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on July 30, 2012at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph; her parents, Joseph and Katharina Mazur; sister, Johanna; brother, Ben; brothers-in-law, Ernie Harris, and Cletus Brasseur; and daughter-in-law, Janet Klein. Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Ron (Josie) of Weyburn, Roy (Sally) of Coleman, AB, Dan (Brenda) of Brooks, AB, Terry (Connie) of Weyburn, Frank (Judy) of Claresholm, AB, Doug (Renee) of Â鶹ÊÓƵ Range, WI, USA, Joe (Barb) of Weyburn, Felicia (Pius) Loustel of Frobisher, Dena Klein of Vermillion, AB, Steven (Sylvia) of Red Deer, AB, Paulette (Brad) McFarlane of Medicine Hat, AB, Carla(Georges) Gervais of Winnipeg, MB, Mike (Carla) of Edmonton, AB, and Brad (Lolly) of Victoria, BC; 36 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Ed (Beryl) of Weyburn; sister, Eva of Winnipeg, MB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and countless friends. Mom was born on the family farm in the Roan Mine District on July 9, 1927. On October 19, 1944 she married Joseph Klein and they began their life farming in the Minton area where they started their family. In 1953, Mary, Joe and family moved to the Griffin area and continued to farm until 1958 when they moved their family into Griffin where they raised ten boys and four girls. Mom was a woman of many talents (seamstress, baker, caregiver, gardener, barber, etc.) She also worked outside of the home as a custodian at the Griffin school and as a housekeeper. Mom moved to Weyburn with her husband in 1989. Together they enjoyed old time dancing, playing cards, and watching many different sporting events until 2004 when her husband passed away. She continued to enjoy her sporting events, going for coffee, and garage sales. She loved to travel which took her to Mexico, Hawaii, Arizona, The Craven Country Jamboree and especially to where all her children and grandchildren reside. Mom always enjoyed visits from her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In her later years she became high tech learning how to use the computer, email and Skype, which enabled her to stay in close contact with her large family. She was a lifelong member of the CWL and recently received a pin in recognition for her 60 years of service. Mary was also a member of the local Red Hat Society and the Wheatland Senior Centre. She is greatly loved and will be missed by all. A Prayer Service was held on Thursday, August 2 at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, August 3 at 10:00 am, both services from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Weyburn, with Father Gerry Bauche celebrating. Pallbearers were all of her grandchildren. Interment took place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary to a charity of donor's choice.
