Mary Helen Pawlak, born May 6, 1923, passed away at Weyburn on the 10th of November, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Mary and Lew began their life together in Ratcliffe. She began her career as a teacher and after raising her family went on to pursue a new career as a psychiatric nurse. Mary worked at the Saskatchewan Hospital and Psychiatric Centre until her retirement in 1983. She was an avid reader, bowler and served many Sunday meals to her family. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her kindness to all she cared for. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Josephine Moser; husband, Lew Pawlak and seven of her brothers and sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her family: daughter, Linda (Lynn) Upshall of Edmonton, AB and her children, Rob (Nicole) Wells and Gregory Wells both of Edmonton, AB; daughter, Betty Anne (Bruce) Sellars and their children, Deanna Sellars and Justin Sellars all of Victoria, BC; son, Murray Pawlak and friend, Brenda Lizuck of Weyburn, and his daughters, Janine (Jon) Secuur and Mandy (Jason) Tottosi both of Regina; eight great grandchildren; sister, Anne Roberts of Weyburn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Prayers were said on Tuesday, November 13 at 6:00 PM at Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, November 14 at 10:30 AM from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn. Father Gerry Bauche was the celebrant at both.
