Marlene Elizabeth Norman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the age of 66 years. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Anne Norman; sisters, Joyce and Christine Norman and her husband, Ken McHattie. Marlene was born to Anne and George on December 7, 1946 in Gladmar. She was a loving sister to Joyce and Christine as well as her only brother Stan. Marlene was a devoted daughter and care giver to her Mother for many years. She loved being an aunt to several nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Marlene had a great sense of humour, even throughout her illness. She was a huge fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders but a close second passion was bingo. Marlene loved to dance and thoroughly enjoyed many kinds of music, as evidenced by her extensive record and tape collection. She also liked to garden, loved animals and above all enjoyed the company of many close friends. Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Stan Norman of Weyburn; nephews, Darren (Trena) Norman and their children, Kaitlyn, Sara, Tara and Niome; Josh (Zoe) Norman and their son, Brycen, Jeremy (Hailey) Norman and their daughter, Alivia, Kevin (Shelly) Norman and their daughters, Brittany and Andrea and Darren B. Norman; sister-in-law, Pete Huriet; special friend, Doug Clauson as well as many relatives and friends. A Celebration of Marlene's Life was held on Tuesday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. from New Apostolic Church, Weyburn with Reverend Roy Rains officiating.
