Margaret Isabel Chartrand (nee Stein) was born on the family farm at Yellow Grass on March 31, 1926. She was the third child of 11 born to Milt and Julia Stein. She passed away peacefully on August 26, 2012. She is survived by her son Gerald Chartrand; sisters Dorothy Christopherson, Ivy Herberholz, Illa Endicott, Olive (Ernie) Stuehler and their extended families; sister-in-law Lillian Stein; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, as well as Danny Chartrand. She is predeceased by brothers, Merle, Glen and Leonard Stein; sisters Joyce Moore and Pearl McKay; brothers-in-law Ivan Moore, Jack Herberholz, Jack Endicott, and Cliff Christopherson. Margaret received her education at Waverly School, after which she and her family moved into Weyburn for a brief period of time, prior to moving to Moose Jaw where she worked for several years at the Park Cafe. She married Danny Chartrand in 1962 and after the birth of their son Gerald they moved to Big Beaver. She returned to Moose Jaw in the late 1980's. Margaret resided at Capilano Court for many years, moving to Extendicare earlier this year. There will be no funeral service, at Margaret's request.
