Lois Jean Mokelki passed away at the age of 64 on October 27, 2016. She was born on May 5, 1952 in Weyburn, to Arthur and Sally Kelly. She and her younger brothers Loren, Allen and Patrick grew up in Weyburn where she met her future husband Daniel (Dan) Mokelki in 1967. Dan and Lois were married on July 30, 1971 in Weyburn, where their first child Tracy was born. Lois finished her training as a psychiatric nurse in March 1973. In 1975 Dan and Lois moved to Prince Albert where their children Jaimie, Daniel, Darcy, and Amanda were born. Lois had a fulfilling career of 36 years as a psychiatric nurse spent in the spirit of love and service for others. Though she could have retired in 2009 she continued to work as long as her health allowed. She also worked at Pine Grove Correctional Centre as a nurse for many years. Her life and relationships were mainly characterised by her service to others in inexhaustible love, endurance and excellence. One of her life’s crowning joys was her family and the raising of her children. Of all of her pastimes she especially found enjoyment in gardening but also had interest in a diverse range of knowledge which she pursued throughout her life. After retirement she and her husband Dan enjoyed one another’s company throughout the world during many travels together. Her first and greatest love was to her Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. Her relationship to God was the single most defining force in her life which inspired and empowered her to touch the lives of all who knew her in such a special way. Her life and love are of eternal impact and will leave a legacy that will continue throughout the generations that follow her. Lois is predeceased by her father Arthur, uncle Tim Twardochleb, mother- and father-in-law Ralph and Jean Mokelki and her daughter Tracy.
