It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and friend. Lillian, late of Regina, formerly of Lewvan-Colfax district, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and the watchful angels above, during the early morning of Sunday, November 13, 2016, at the age of 67 to be with her mom and dad, Anne and Herbert. Lillian will always be remembered and greatly missed by her husband of 45 years, V. Paul Wintonyk; daughter Wanda and son-in-law Sasha Lapchuk of Regina; son Vern and daughter-in-law Leeanne Scott of Fort Saskatchewan, AB; three grandchildren: Anna Lapchuk and Sofia Lapchuk of Regina and Zachary French of Fort Saskatchewan, AB; brother Norbert and sister-in-law Irene Schwindt of Edmonton, AB; three nephews: Ivan (Dallas) Schwindt (and family) of Edmonton, AB; Daniel (Darlene) Schwindt (and family) of Edmonton, AB; and Darcy Schwindt of Edmonton, AB; as well as numerous cousins and all the friends she made throughout her lifetime. Lillian was predeceased by her parents Herbert John and Anne (nee Meyerhoffer) Schwindt. Lillian was born in Regina, and during her early childhood and youth resided in the Town of Lewvan. Also, spending a great deal of time on the nearby Schwindt farmstead near Lewvan/Colfax attending the schoolhouse in Lewvan, and later, Milestone High School. In her adolescent years, Lillian moved to Regina to pursue employment opportunities and clerical training where she later met her loving husband Paul, and they were married April 10, 1971. Lillian was a wonderful cook, caring and devoted wife, mother, granny and friend who always put the interests and comforts of others before her own and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Spending time with her granddaughters, Anna and Sofia, brought special joy and contentment for Lillian. Interment was held Saturday, November 19, at Regina Memorial Gardens (Arbor Memorial), Hwy #1 East (4001 East Victoria Avenue), Regina, and was followed by a come and go tea for family and friends. Should family or friends desire, donations may be made to the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians (for the Poltava Dance School), 1809 Toronto Street, Regina, SK, S4P 1M7.
