With wonderful memories and sad hearts, the family regrets to announce the passing of Ken Knipelberg of Edmonton, AB, on June 1, 2013 at the age of 69 years. Ken will always be remembered for his many wonderful qualities and great sense of humour. He was a kind, generous, loving husband, father and friend with a huge passion for everything life had to offer. Dearest to his heart was his loving wife, Marie; son, Corey (Avy Wolf); daughter, Cindy (Curtis) Bidulock; nephews, Ken (Kuni) and Liam; Jeff and Stacey Muir; as well as many caring relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, George and Kathleen; brother, George; sister, Gloria (Earl) Muir and two infant siblings. Ken was born in Weyburn and graduated from Weyburn Collegiate Institute in 1963. He was a highly skilled hockey player who played for the Weyburn Red Wings from 1961-64, and continued to play hockey in the Edmonton area right up to Oldtimers League. Later he aspired to get involved in the oil patch, which lead him to co-own his own business here in Edmonton for over 30 years. Ken had a passion for Ford Mustangs and Thunderbirds and was actively involved in local and International Clubs. Our sincerest thank you goes out to our relatives, friends and everyone who have helped and supported us so much throughout Ken's journey and at this difficult time. A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held on Monday, June 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Chapel, 9810 - 34 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. Cremation has taken place.
