Joyce Irene Wilson of Tatagwa View, Weyburn, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the age of 65 years. She was born on September 9, 1949 in Wawota, the first child to Elmer and Irene Wilson. Joyce lived with her family on the farm at Parkman until 1955. At this time, she entered the Saskatchewan Training School at Moose Jaw. In 1971, she moved to the Mennonite Nursing Home at Rosthern. In 1972 Joyce was moved to Souris Valley Extended Care Hospital where she resided until being transferred into the new Tatagwa View facility in 2006. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Irene Wilson and will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Dixie (Dayle) Martinson of Midale and their children, Tricia (Craig) Wilgenbusch, Colby and Logan (Brianna) Martinson; sister, Valerie (Randy) Quinn of Barrie, ON and their children, Matthew of Hamilton, ON and Kaitlan Quinn of Regina. The family of Joyce would like to express a sincere THANK YOU to Dr. Fong and all of the staff at Souris Valley and Tatagwa View for the excellent care, genuine love and concern they had for Joyce over the many years. We will be forever grateful. A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, December 10 at 12:30 p.m. from Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn with Pastor Cicely McDougall officiating.
