James Robert Hosking, 73 (Truro, NS, formerly Hastings England), December 17, 2013, following an illness that was bravely fought. James passed away peacefully with his beloved wife, son and daughter-in-law by his side at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Beloved husband and best friend of 49 years to Catherine, dearly loved dad to Mark, father-in-law to Trina, grandfather to Quinn, Rhiann and Colten and loving brother to Pat. Predeceased by his son Stephen and parents Audrey and Richard. A devoted family man, James moved with his family to Canada in 1969 pursuing a better life for his wife and children. James was an avid golfer, actor, with great wit and a man who enjoyed his boxing. James will be sadly missed by his wife, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law, relatives and friends throughout the world. Mass will take place at the Immaculate Conception Church, Truro NS on Saturday December 21 at 11 am. No flowers please. Donations to the Franciscan order if desired.
