A celebration of life will take place for the late Ivan Churchill on Saturday April 26 at 1:00 PM at the Grace United Church in Weyburn. Lunch and refreshments will follow. Ivan Churchill, born August 26, 1921, passed away quietly in his sleep, February 14, 2014. Ivan, a farmer, friend and caring community citizen, was born, raised and lived in the Goodwater, Tribune and Weyburn communities his entire life. Ivan was a proud Canadian soldier in WWII. Ivan was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond and Ken Churchill Sr., and special lady, Hazel Eddy. Ivan leaves to mourn, the families of his nephews, Ken (Linda) Churchill and David Churchill; nieces, Patsy Sagert and Heather (Gary) Duggan. Of special mention are the families of Hazel's daughters, Beverly (Warren) Pederson, Ione Ernst-Berard and Myrna (Dennis) Oxelgren. Ray McKague and many other friends will long remember Ivan's presence in their lives. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ivan can be made to the Salvation Army.
