Hilda Christable Myers passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Hilda was predeceased by her father, Edward Efford; mother, Nora Efford; brothers, Reginald Efford and Eddie Efford; sister, Rudy Edy; husband, John K. Myers and daughter-in-law, Sandy Myers. Hilda was born on August 14, 1925 in Manor, SK to Edward and Nora and grew up here as well. Hilda married John Myers in Campbell River, BC and together they resided in many different places between British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Eventually they moved to Weyburn and made it their permanent home. Hilda loved being at home raising her son, Les. She was fond of music and loved being around family and friends. She also enjoyed getting out and walking, spending as much time as she could with her dog, Scottie. Hilda was an active member of the Anglican Church and attended on a regular basis. She loved her family and was a kind hearted person. Holidays and family get-togethers were very important to her. Hilda loved having a good laugh and sharing memories with family and friends was important to her. She was a wonderful lady and she will be missed by all those who were close to her. Hilda will be lovingly remembered by her son, Les Myers of Weyburn and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. At Hilda's request, a private family Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn.
