Helen was born to Frank and Carrie Noble at Creston, Iowa, USA on May 10, 1914. She immigrated with her parents and siblings to a farm at Osage in 1916. Helen was married to George Shultz on December 25, 1934. She and George lived on the farm at Osage until their retirement into Fort Qu'Appelle in 1973. After George's death in 1977, Helen remained in their Fort Qu'Appelle home until moving into assisted living at Harrison House in Fort Qu'Appelle in 2005. Following her hip surgery in December of 2010, Helen spent her remaining days in the Balcarres Integrated Care Centre and later at Echo Lodge at Fort Qu'Appelle. Helen passed away in the Palliative Care Unit at the All Nations Healing Hospital, Fort Qu'Appelle, early Tuesday morning, April 3, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, George Shultz; her parents, Frank and Carrie Noble; two brothers, Mark and Harlan Noble and one sister, Lydia Noble. Helen is survived by one brother Glendon Noble of Stoughton; three sons, Dale of Hayward, California; Lyle of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Kelvin (Elaine) of Osage; one daughter Vera (Stanley) Sinclair of Fort Qu'Appelle; four grandsons, Steve Shultz of Prince Albert; Dean (Sally) Sinclair of Meadow Lake; Tim (Carla) Shultz of Osage and Rob Shultz of Argentina; four granddaughters, Valerie (Roger) Parsonage of Vernon, BC, Donna (Jayden) Cobb of Fort Qu'Appelle; Karen (Pat) Covlin of Fort Qu'Appelle and Janine (Kurt) Carpenter of Kitscoty, AB; two nephews, Wayne (Elaine) Noble and Garth Noble; as well as 16 great grandchildren and her many friends. Funeral service was held at the Conexus Arts Centre, 200 Lakeshore Drive, Regina on Saturday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
