Greg was born at Ratcliffe, December 13, 1929, the youngest of ten children, attended Round Grove School and Campion College in Regina. As a young lad, his entertainment was riding horses which earned him his cowboy reputation. In 1951, he married Myrtle Goodwin and they raised a family of five children on a farm between Froude and Griffin. Throughout his time Greg was very active in the Creelman Agricultural Fair Committee and enjoyed riding his horse in the Parades, along with many trail rides with the Boundary Commission Wagon Train. He got a lot of pleasure from storytelling with articulate wit and humorous (and numerous!) jokes.
