Grant Kenneth Engelstad was born on March 23, 1963 in Radville to Kenneth and Phyllis Engelstad. He grew up in Radville and received some schooling in the community. When he was ten years old the family moved to Regina, but would return in 1977. During his life Grant enjoyed working at a variety of different jobs, he operated a variety of construction equipment in Weyburn, had a sign writing business, did some work with silk screening, worked as a carpenter and painter. With his experiences in many fields, Grant enjoyed many different hobbies and pass times. He loved to camp, dabbled in mechanics, stock car racing, shooting pool, bowling, playing a guitar and setting up sound systems. He had an interest in the Wildlife Federation and a passion for Harley Davidsons. Grant was active with the Kinsmen and was always eager to volunteer his services for such things as the rodeo, fire department, hockey and at the local swimming pool. Grant always liked to help people when help was needed. He was the first to volunteer on many occasions. He will be missed by many friends. Grant was predeceased by his father, Kenneth; an infant brother in 1965; grandparents, Mary and William Kushner and Amanda and Chris Engelstad. Grant will be lovingly remembered and missed by his mother, Phyllis and his dog, Shade as well as many good friends. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, June 9 at 11:00 am from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Radville with Pastor Robert Reimer officiating.
