Gordon Lindskog passed away on December 24, 2013 surrounded by the love of his family. Gordon was born on March 23, 1930 on the family farm southwest of Neptune. He married his lifelong soul mate Phyllis on April 18, 1955. Together they loved, laughed and lived for the next 58 years. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Ivor and Sophie Lindskog, sister and brother-in-law Ellen and William Frederick, sister Edna Lindskog and grandson Ryan Lindskog. Gordon leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Phyllis Lindskog, his children: Rod (Rhonda) Lindskog (Tyrel, Jesse, Katie), Randy (Marlene) Lindskog (Julie, Michael, Mark), Laurel (Glenn) Olheiser (Christina, Brad), Kevin (Marilyn) Lindskog (Jeanette, Garrett), Kelly (Linda) Lindskog (Brandy, David, Sarah), Leanne (Kevin) Verbeem (Evan, Jason, Aaron, Tyson); as well as 17 great grandchildren; brother Sidney (Dorothy) Lindskog and a wide circle of friends. His family would like to thank Dr. Beheshti and the staff at the Weyburn General Hospital for all their kindness and compassion in allowing us the time to say goodbye. A Celebration of Gordon's Life was held on Monday, December 30 at 1:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn with Marjorie McLeod, CLA officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn. The pallbearers were Tyrel Lindskog, Michael Lindskog, Brad Olheiser, Garrett Lindskog, David Lindskog and Evan Verbeem. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gordon may be made to the Weyburn Wheatland Senior Centre, 888-1st Avenue NE, Weyburn, SK, S4H 3M1, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to RD Family Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Weyburn (306-848-0333 ~ 1-888-848-0333).
