Gerald Douglas Mohr

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gerald Douglas Mohr, late of Weyburn, on May 2, 2012 at the age of 76 years. Gerald worked at the Weyburn Co-op Meat Department for 17 years. He enjoyed playing crib and whist at the Wheatland Senior Center. He especially loved gardening and grew amazing strawberries and beautiful flowers. Dad would win prizes for his huge tomatoes and peppers. Every summer he would help his friends at the Market Garden. He also loved to play his harmonica, but his greatest joy in life was his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Joanne (Allan) Kohut of Didsbury, AB and Jacalyn (Barry) Pearrault of Didsbury, AB; sons, Terry (Angie) Mohr of Maylasia and Bradley (Della) Mohr of Red Deer, AB; 13 grand children and 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Julius) Zimmer of Shevlin, MB, Eleanor (Johnny) Zimmer of Williams Lake, BC, Judy (Bill) New of Fort Saskatchewan, AB and Marilyn (Sig) Baklarz of Burbank, CA. as well as many nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by his father and mother, Edward and Elizabeth Mohr; daughter, Lori Kennedy; brother, Gordon Mohr and sister-in-law, Ann Mohr. The family wishes to express a special thank you to his good friend, Ron Kittleson for all his help and kindness to Dad. A Memorial Service was held Monday, May 7 at 2:00 P.M. from All Saints Anglican Church, Weyburn with Reverend John Gardner officiating. For family and friends so wishing, donations in memory of Gerald may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Condolences may be left at: www.fletcherfuneralchapel.com.
