Georgianna Webb passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 4, 2014 at the age of 87 years. Georgianna Winnifred McRae was born in Loverna on February 13, 1927. She was the second youngest daughter of Jesse Lee and Sara Anna McRae. She grew up with her siblings; brother Murdoch and sisters Margaret and Jeanette. The family moved to Amulet in 1947 to run the general store. Georgianna attended Normal School, Regina College, to receive her standard "A" teaching certificate and began teaching at Britannia School at Roche Perce in 1945 and later taught at Worcester School. Georgianna married Floyd Webb in Amulet in 1949 and they subsequently moved to Rossland, B.C for an employment opportunity with the Trail Mining and Smelter Plant. A year later their eldest child was born and they moved to their farm site south of Amulet. It was here that Georgia and Floyd raised their family knowing that it would provide a nurturing environment for them. Besides her responsibilities as a mother of five children, Georgianna resumed her career in education with teaching positions at Amulet High School where she served as principal, Ogema High School, Khedive, and Pangman School. Her career and her family were her focus and her passion. Throughout her life, Georgianna enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and reading. She also maintained a keen interest in the life achievements of those close to her and in her later years surrounded herself with her life-long collection of photos and newspaper clippings of family and friends. Georgianna is predeceased by her parents, Jesse and Sara McRae; husband, Floyd Webb; son, Murray Webb; brother, Murdoch (Maisie) McRae and sisters, Margaret (Leon) Leonard and Jeannette (Keith) Webb and granddaughter, Leanna Hudson.
