George Norman Hardy, late of Weyburn, passed away June 15, 2014, at the age of 90 years. George was predeceased by his wife Aletha; parents George Edgar and Helen; sister Lorna Metheral; brother Larry Hardy. George is survived by his children: Janice (Ron) Milleker, Weyburn and their family: Todd (Angela) Milleker [Alayne and Jason], Lauri (Travis) Eagles [Hope, Hannah, Bethany and Bree], Lisa Milleker, Jeff Milleker and his daughter [Clara]; Donna Hardy, Weyburn and her children: Hardy (Heidi) Sauter [Jessica], Barkley (Yulia) Sauter [Kingston and Max], Don Sauter (Renae Kaip) [Josie, Titan and Kya], David (Colleen) Hardy, Red Deer, AB and their family: Allison Hardy, Evan (Jillian) Hardy [Natalie], Carol (Tim) Wagner, Midale and their family: Ryan (Tricia) Wagner [Hudson], David Wagner, Jackson Wagner, Cheryl (Scott) Brady, Midale and their family: Tessa (Ryan) Flood [Madora], Tanis (Darren) Daku; two brothers: Dale (Britta) Hardy, Midale, Ken (Linda) Hardy, Regina; sister Berna Colpitts, Calgary, AB; sister-in-law Joyce Claybo, Calgary, AB; as well as several nieces and nephews. George was born and raised in Midale. He was a proud WWII veteran. Following the war he married Aletha Magnuson of Midale. He attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon where he received his law degree. He practiced law in Weyburn until his retirement. He maintained an active interest in both the farming and oil industries. A Funeral Service for George was held on Friday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn with Rev. Doug Loden, officiating. Interment followed at Westphalia Cemetery, Midale. Lunch followed the interment at the Midale Civic Center. Pallbearers were George's grandchildren.
