It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick Dorsch announces his passing on December 19, 2014 at the age of 96 years. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Katherine Dorsch; wife, Evelyn Dorsch; infant daughter, Janice Dorsch; brother and sisters, Molly (Ed) Gill, Theresa (Gordon) Allen, Katie (Theodore) Gill, Esther (Raymond) Ausum and Henry (Mary) Dorsch. Fred will be remembered by his son, Frank Dorsch of Saskatoon; daughter, Kathy (Alan) Dennett of West Kelowna, BC; daughter, Louise (Blair) Lansdell of Regina; son, Eric (Twyla) Dorsch of Trossachs and daughter, Janet (Rod) Deibert of Bolton, ON; grandchildren: Jessica (Brad) Szydlik, Andrew Dennett, William Lansdell, Richard (Toni) Lansdell, Sarah Lansdell, Erica, Shana, Rebecca, Steven, Lydia Dorsch, Shelby, Payton, Morgan and Reid Deibert; great grandchildren: Rowen Szydlik and Thea and Thad Lansdell as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Fred was born in Leader. He was the youngest child of Henry and Katherine Dorsch. Fred married Evelyn Axford in 1948 and lived on the farm near Trossachs. He served on the Trossachs and Yellow Grass School Boards and was on the Trossachs Wheat Pool Committee for many years as well as on the Community Pasture Committee. Fred belonged to Trossachs United Church and was an elder. Fred was fortunate to have stayed in his home until the end. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Visitation was held on Friday, December 26 at Fletcher Funeral Chapel from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and the Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 27 at 2:00 pm from Grace United Church, Weyburn, with Reverend Sun Do Hyun officiating. Interment took place at Trossachs Cemetery, Trossachs. Pallbearers were William Lansdell, Richard Lansdell, Steven Dorsch, Payton Deibert, Erica Dorsch and Shana Dorsch.
