Florian William "Bill" Dube, late of Weyburn passed away March 7, 2013, at the age of 91 years. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Armand and Alexandrine; his wife, Nora; his sons: Wilfred and Leonard; daughter, Coleen; his nine siblings. Bill is survived by his children: Jeanette (Dick) Thompson, Weyburn and family, Donna, Rick and Mark, Glen Dube, Regina and family, Sherry, Scott and Don, Gerry (Gail) Dube, Regina and family, Tyler, Seth and Troy; 19 great great grandchildren; daughters-in-law: Carol Dube, Camrose, AB and family, Michael, Colette and Pam; Barb Dube, Victoria, BC and her son Dean; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was born on November 16, 1921 in Lampman to Armand and Alexandrine Dube. He attended Wiberforce School in the Benson area. On January 12, 1942, he married Nora Doyle. Together they farmed until 1952 in the Benson and Lampman area. Bill worked in the coal mine and oil rigs in the Estevan area. He also worked for the City of Weyburn for 20 years. Bill enjoyed bingo, dancing, playing the accordian, gardening and growing plants in the greenhouse. He also spent time rototilling for people in the community for many years. Prayers for Bill were held on Tuesday, March 12 at 6:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn. Funeral mass for Bill was held on Wednesday, March 13 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn with Father Gerry Bauche, celebrant. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn. All in attendance were considered Honorary Pallbearers. Active Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Don, Tyler, Rick, Michael, Mark and Troy. Arrangements were entrusted to RD Family Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Weyburn (848-0333 ~ 1-888-848-0333).
