It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, Dorothy May Prive (Terney), after a long battle with COPD. She passed away at the Beaverlodge Hospital in Beaverlodge, AB, with family by her side, the morning of Friday October 14, 2016. Dorothy was born to John and Ada Terney in Newmarket, Ontario, July 20, 1941. The family moved to the Handsworth area of Saskatchewan in 1944 where Dorothy attended school at Gapview and Arcola. Dorothy lived her life in the Handsworth and Corning area where she raised her children Robert Prive and Laurrie Kilback. Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to garden and birdwatch, play cards, dancing, crafting, painting and most of all to share laughter with friends. She is survived by her son Robert, her daughter Laurrie (Troy) Kilback and grandchildren Tyson and Kelsey, sisters-in-law Audrey Shauf and family Lucille Breault and family. Her death was preceded by her mother Ada and father John. Dorothy’s family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Beaverlodge Hospital for the compassionate care that was given during her stay.
