It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Kuyat of Regina and formerly of Weyburn on Wednesday, January 30, 2012. Known to many as Auntie Dot, she was predeceased by her parents August and Emelia Nickel of Yellow Grass; her husband Victor Kuyat in 1982; daughter Sharon Rubie in 2002; brother Ronald; and four sisters Edythe, Alma, Margaret and Ethel. Dorothy is survived by one sister Audrey Josephson (Elden) of Sherwood Park, AB; two grandchildren Susan (Graeme) Davidson of Whitecourt, AB and their children Katrina and Jacob; Grant (Sophie) Rubie of Calgary, AB and their children Sebastian and Isaac; many nieces and nephews, especially nephew Ron Kujat (Sharlene) of Regina; and many friends. Respecting Dorothy's wish there will be no funeral service. A Graveside Service for immediate family will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 504 Windsor Street, Weyburn, SK S4H 0W9 or to a charity of one's choice.
