Delores Levine Raknerud, late of Weyburn, passed away May 8, 2014, at the age of 78 years. Delores was predeceased by her parents: Sanford and Elise Bergdahl; husband Gordon; sisters: Ruth and Gladys. Delores is survived by her children: Bob (Val) Raknerud, Weyburn and their family: Darren (Monique) and family: [Morgan, Trystan] Jeff (Sherry) and family: [Kaden and Grayson], Chris (Katee) and son Oliver, Diane (Greg) Senkbeil, Pipestone, MB, and family: Bradley (Carrie) and family: [Taylor and Branson] Jim (Janelle) and family: [Jessie, Alandra, Jamie and AJ], Melissa (Michael), Brian (Liana) Raknerud, Edmonton, AB and family: Jason (Kelsey) and family: [Jared, Kaleb, Chloe] , Kelley-Anne (Stephen) and family: [Avery and Alexis], Alicia (Tim) and family: [Jacob, Weylin, Eva and Peter], Rebecca (Ben) and family: [Hannah and Liam], Kieran, Cheryl (Lionel) Fraser, Saskatoon, and family: Krista (Chris) and family: [Kennedy, Kaden and Jayce], Tyrell (Meagan) and family: [Ari]; five sisters: Dorothy Frederick, Weyburn, Ruby Ror, Weyburn, Shirley (Terry) Olson, Weyburn, Jean (Eugene) Ror, Weyburn, Elizabeth Bergdahl, Moose Jaw; brother Larry (Bonnie) Bergdahl, Moose Jaw; two sisters-in-law: Marlene (Terry) Pierce, Weyburn, Elda Wickman, Kelowna, BC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Delores Levine Raknerud was the firstborn to Sandford and Elsie Bergdahl in Lake Alma on March 22, 1936. She married Gordon Raknerud on October 17, 1953. They lived in various places before moving to Lake Alma in 1961 and then to the farm north of Lake Alma in 1964. Delores loved the farm and always had a large garden, milk cows and chickens. She loved cooking, baking, sewing and quilting, all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren have one of her special woobies. They moved to Nipawin in 1981 and sadly dad passed away in 1985. Delores resided in Nipawin until 2007 when she moved back to Weyburn where she resided until her passing on May 8, 2014. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Viewing for Delores was held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12 at RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn. A funeral service for Delores was held on Tuesday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, with Martin Olson, officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn. Pallbearers were Darren Raknerud, Chris Raknerud, Jeff Raknerud, Tyrell Fraser, Brad Murphy, Jim Murphy, Jason Dagenais and Kieran Rakenrud.
