Darryl Richard Bauche

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Darryl Richard Bauche on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the age of 42 years. Darryl was born December 13, 1973, the third of four children to Richard and Yvette Bauche in Weyburn, where he grew up and received his elementary, junior high and high school education. As a child he was involved in cubs, scouts and army cadets. Darryl loved music and drama, both of which he was actively involved in during his grade school years, playing trumpet in junior high and high school concert bands, and various roles in high school plays. It was here that he met the love of his life, Darla Schmidt. He was caring and compassionate about helping others. During his time at Weyburn Comprehensive School he became a peer counsellor, helping his fellow students with his ear and his heart. It was also here that he developed a passion for computers, which would lead to a diploma from SIAST and a lifelong career and continuing education in the field, where he was known and respected as a hard worker. During their almost 22 years of marriage, Darryl and Darla had four beautiful children. In December 2014 they became first time grandparents, which brought great pride and joy to their family. Darryl was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed karaoke and entertaining his kids. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his children. Making them smile and laugh was a top priority. Predeceased by his grandparents, George and Lucienne Bauche and Albert and Beatrice Berard; father-in-law, Ron Schmidt, Darryl is survived by his wife Darla (nee Schmidt) of Regina; daughters, Charissa and Alexa; sons, Ethan and Anton; grandson, Emmett, all of Regina; parents, Richard and Yvette of Weyburn; sisters, Carolyne Bauche and Shelly (Kevin) Norman, all of Medicine Hat, AB; brother, Mark of Winnipeg, MB; mother-in-law, Rose Schmidt of Saskatoon; brother-in-law, Darren (Carol) Schmidt of Saskatoon; nieces, Brittany, Kaylyn, and Andrea; nephews, Liam, Matthew, and Michael; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Funeral Mass was held at Resurrection R.C. Parish, Regina, on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Ferdinand Eusebio officiating. Interment followed at Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memory of Darryl, to the family at www.gofundme.com/2ixnp6c or to a mental health charity of their choosing.
