Daniel David Hoffart, late of Radville, passed away with his loving wife by his side on December 21, 2015, at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Katherine Hoffart; father and mother-in-law: Ernest and Bertha Tessier; brothers; Joe Hoffart, Peter Hoffart and Leo Hoffart, and many other beloved family members. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Pauline Hoffart (nee Tessier), his children: David Hoffart, Allan Hoffart, Wayne (Sandra) Hoffart, Sharon (Larry) Nyhus, Shirley (Louis) Delanoy, Gale Hoffart, Roseann (Laverne) DeBruyne, Darrell Hoffart and Barry (Susan) Hoffart; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and brothers: Ralph (Yvette) Hoffart and Adolph (Stella) Hoffart as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and relatives. He was born on August 30, 1930; at the family farm in Minton, the fifth son of the late Frank and Katherine Hoffart. He took over the family farm in 1950. He married Pauline Tessier, July 13, 1955; they raised nine children on the family farm. He loved farming, especially working with cattle and haying season. He retired and moved to Radville in November 2001. He loved his flowers and his yard. He always made time to visit or give a helping hand to family, friends or anyone passing by. He loved playing cards and watching curling; he was a devoted parishioner that dedicated his time to the church. He especially loved being part of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives. His smile and laughter will never be forgotten. Special thank you to Dr. Oberholzer, Dr Helms, and nurses, special care aids at the Radville Marian Health Centre for the special care that was provided to Daniel and my family. A special thank you is extended to Father Anthony Pangan, for his friendship, spiritual support and beautiful funeral mass for Daniel. Thanks to Father Gerry Bauche and Father Prince for helping with the service. Thanks to the Holy Family Parish for serving lunch, the mass servers, the music, and to Bernadette Niemegeers for the beautiful prayer service. Thank you to everyone for the cards, food, phone calls, visits, flowers, prayers and donations. Pauline and her family wish to thank everyone for their kindness through this very difficult time it is greatly appreciated. Prayers were said on Tuesday, December 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Radville. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, December 30 at 10:30 a.m. also from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. Celebrants were Father Anthony Pangan, Father Gerry Bauche and Father Prince. Interment followed at Chapel Grove Cemetery, Minton. Active Pallbearers were Kris Nyhus, Steven Hoffart, Jerret Delanoy, Blake DeBruyne, Tyson Hoffart and Dryden Hoffart. Honourary Pallbearers were Daniel’s grandchildren and great grandchildren.
