Dana Illerbrun

Dana Illerbrun, of Shaunavon, died suddenly at Shaunavon on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the age of 47 years. Dana was born at Midale on November 8, 1966 to Doris and Arnold Holtz. She attended Midale Central School from Kindergarten to Grade 12. She moved to Drayton Valley, where she was a nanny. Dana moved back to Midale where she had her first two children, Justin and Lindsey. In 1992, she moved to Shaunavon and met Marcel. They were married in 1996. They welcomed two daughters, Rachel and Emily. For most of her career she worked at the Co-op. Dana enjoyed dancing and reading. She loved spending time out at "the lake" (Duncairn Dam). She was overjoyed to be a grandma and loved spending time with family. She was predeceased by her father Arnold Ewalt Holtz on December 4, 1974, her mother Doris Ilene Holtz on August 28, 2006 and her brother Carl Francis Holtz on November 24, 2001. Dana is survived by her husband Marcel Illerbrun and her children, Justin (Kaitlin) of Shaunavon and granddaughters Maycee and Maya, Lindsey of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Rachel and Emily of Shaunavon; her sisters Gloria Tabish (Larry) of Lethbridge, Alberta, Marie Ingersoll (Richard) of Bonnyville, Alberta, Susan Dornian (Larry) of Estevan, Bonnie Major (Jim) of Simmie, her brother David Holtz (Dorothy) of Manning, Alberta, as well as by one aunt and uncle, many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6 at 2:00 pm from Christ the King R.C. Church in Shaunavon with Reverend Father John Mock officiating. Prayer services were held from Christ the King Church on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 8:15 p.m. Interment took place at St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery. Binkley's Funeral Service of Shaunavon (www.Binkleys.com) was in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be in Dana's memory to Shaunavon Legion, Box 1355, Shaunavon, SK S0N 2M0. Pallbearers were Cale Major, Trevor Tabish, Cory Dornian, Ryan Illerbrun, Tyler Illerbrun and Dennis Van Raalte.
