Clarence Ness, late of Weyburn passed away July 29, 2012, at the age of 90 years. Clarence was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Mae Ness; his wife, Emilie Ness, two brothers: Delmar Ness and Howard Ness. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Ernest Ness (Joyce), Williams Lake, BC; Clarice Viguie, Edmonton, AB; Cameron Ness (Cheryl), Beaver Lodge, AB; Lester (Pat) Ness, Fort McLeod, AB; Neil (Dianne) Ness, Wainwright, AB; Alvin (Connie) Ness, Innisfail, AB; Philip (Colette) Ness, Calgary, AB; Lyle (Bonnie) Ness, Weyburn; his brother, Earl (Clara) Ness, Weyburn and sister, Darlene Lund, Lake Alma, who will miss him dearly as well as many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Clarence was born in Lake Alma on August 24,1921, the son of Harold and Mae Ness. He grew up on the family farm in Lake Alma and attended school at Tree Lake School. Clarence married his loving wife Emilie on June 7, 1945 and together they raised a family of eight children. Clarence loved his family and farming. Their farm was where he spent most of his life and raised his family. He also had a wonderful passion to play the violin as well as building and repairing musical instruments. His warm smile could only be surpassed by his jovial laughter. He was always there to lend a hand to the community or neighbours to build things, repair equipment or do electrical work. A funeral service for Clarence was held on Thursday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Lake Alma Lutheran Church, Lake Alma, with Pastor Martin Olson, officiating. Interment followed at Saron Cemetery, Lake Alma. All in attendance were considered honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers were Dean Lund, Blaine Lohse, Mark Overbye, Lance Petersen, Joe Woitas and Wade Hoimyr.
