Calven passed away at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Harold and Thelma Jacobsen of Weyburn, and Bill and Maggie Goulding, formally of Pelly. Also, one younger brother Corby Jacobsen. He is survived by his wife, Jackie in Calgary; his parents, Maurice and Linda Jacobsen of Weyburn; brother, Kyle Jacobsen of Peace River, AB; sister Terra (Trevor Laird) and their children Riley, Nicole, Maison and Jaxon of Weyburn; sister Misty (Gary Grams) and their children Jared, Maggie, Paige and Taylor of Weyburn. Cremation took place in Calgary and at Calven's request there will be no funeral service. The spreading of his ashes will take place at a later date at the family farm. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that you make a donation to the liver and kidney foundation or a charity of your choice.
