Brian Alvin Beare, late of Fillmore, passed away peacefully Friday, July 4, 2014 at the age of 60 years due to a major stroke. Brian was predeceased by his parents: Alvin and Evelyn. Brian is survived by his only sister Linda (Garry) Procknow; his nieces: Kyla (Marty) Krushelniski and Michelle (Zach) Stevens; his nephew Darren (Krystle) Procknow; great niece Makayla Krushelniski; great nephews: Dominic Krushelniski and Jude and Nate Stevens; also survived by many special friends and relatives including Walter Nixon, Mike Wiggins, Drew Kidd, Andre Hollebeke, Emil Nelson, Dale Tytlandsvik, Dave Desautels and cousin Rod Beare. Brian spent his whole life in Fillmore. Although he never married he had two great loves: sports and his furry cats. He was administrator of the Village for 24 years as well as the Recreation Director. He refereed hockey, volleyball and umpired men's ball and ladies' softball. He was also on the SAHA Referee Division Executive for many years. A service of remembrance for Brian was held on Thursday, July 10 at 2:00 pm from Fillmore United Church, Fillnore with Rev. Ann White, officiating. For family and friends so wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Brian may be made to the Fillmore Volunteer Ambulance, 100 Main St., Fillmore, SK S0G 1N0.
