It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Beryl Dorrene Lohse, late of Weyburn, who passed away at Pasqua Hospital in Regina on April 7, 2013 at the age of 75 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beryl was predeceased by her parents, Marvin and Emily Anderson; her husband, Elden Lohse; sister, Bernice Harden; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lloyd and Edna Lohse, Mabel and Kenneth Lohse, Julian Lohse, Lillian Petersen and Oscar Nelson. Beryl is survived by her daughters: Dione (Gerald) Lovelace, Regina and their daughter, Thera Lovelace; Laurie (Gavin) Cordes, Rosetown and their family: Cory (Tamara) and their children: [Cohen and Graydon], Mike Cordes, Angie Cordes (Brett); sister, Eileen Nelson, Moose Jaw; sister-in-law, Norma Lohse, Weyburn; brother-in-law, Buckie Harden, Rockglen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Beryl married Elden Lohse on August 28, 1953. They resided on the family farm south of Ratcliffe, SK with their two daughters until Beryl moved off the family farm in spring of 1999. Beryl was an active member of various organizations such as Ratcliffe Ladies Auxiliary, Almar Lodge, Borderview Saddle Club, Icicles Singing Group, Weyburn O.O.R.P. and curling. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, trail rides, gymkhanas and loved any social events or activities that included horses. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff on 3B at the Pasqua Hospital. A memorial service for Beryl was held on Friday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. from Grace United Church, Weyburn with Rev. M. Barnabas, officiating. All in attendance were considered Honorary Pallbearers. Interment will be held at a later date at Zion Community Cemetery.
