Berenice Veronica Emard of Medicine Hat, AB passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the age of 97 years, beloved wife of the late Gilbert Emard. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Lillian (Allan) Pritchett, Patricia (Adel) Emard Sidhom and Joan (Robert) Emard-Wanner; eight grandchildren, Stephen (Chelsey) Pritchett, Robert (Holly) Pritchett, Leanne (Corey) Stephens, Katreen (Aaron) Sidhom Yarborough, Shauna (Vincent) Crowley, Stephanie (Trent) Bjorndahl, Robyn (Shawn) Wanner Lewis and Nicoelle (Tyler) Weins and eighteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Joseph Huskie; her husband, Gilbert in 2001; one daughter Berenice Rosemary Emard; two brothers, Bernard Huskie and Walter Huskie; two sisters, Rose Turgeon and Lucy Bone. The funeral mass was celebrated at Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Saturday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Philip Le Celebrant. Interment followed in the Hillside Cemetery.
