The children of Barbara Cugnet (nee Krumenacker) are saddened to announce her passing on June 6, 2012 at the age of 93 years. Mom suffered a stroke on May 29,2012 at her residence in the Guilford Seniors Village in Surrey, B.C. She passed away peacefully at the Surrey Memorial Hospital on June 6, 2012. The funeral service was held on Monday June 11, at the Fraser Heights Funeral Home in Surrey, B.C. Interment followed at the Oceanview Cemetery in Burnaby, B.C. Predeceased by her husband Leon in 1985. Eight siblings: Elizabeth, Anthony, Susan, Peter, Mary, Nicholas and two siblings in infancy. Two grandsons: Jason Cugnet and Grant Ivey: niece Dorothy Mellinson, grandniece Michelle Krumenacker and son-in-law Jack Fraser. Mom is survived by her loving children: Donna Fraser (Saskatoon) , Pat (Al) Stich (Surrey, B.C.) , Mark Cugnet (Surrey, B.C.), Mervin (Lillian) Cugnet (Coquitlam, B.C.) and Sharon(Garnet) Ivey (Blairmore, AB): 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as a large extended family and many friends.
