Aubray Jolene Pulfer of Weyburn, was born at 10:22 p.m. on October 22, 1976 and passed away surrounded by loved ones at the age of 40 on October 27, 2016. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Doug and Arleigh Pulfer, grandfather, George Hill and mother-in-law, Mary Ann Abel. Aub grew up with her parents, David and Nancy, at the family farm west of Weyburn as the older sister of Dan, Thad, and Josh. She was always so proud to be a Pulfer, it was more than a name to her. This little girl with the big brown eyes participated in 4-H with a special love for horses that continued throughout her life. She attended Queen Elizabeth where she made many friendships that carried throughout her time at the Weyburn Junior High, Weyburn Comprehensive School, and continued into her adult life. Aub spent her whole life in Weyburn and loved moving back to the family farm with Cory and their kids, Nik, Riley, Denni, and Tiernan. Aub and Cory tied the knot on that same farm October 7, 2006 in a beautiful family ceremony. She was renowned for her profound love of gardening. She spent hours upon hours in her garden tending and nurturing each plant. The same kind of passion was evident in the beautiful display of plants and flowers covering all parts of her yard. Shortly before her illness, she became a member of the Horticultural Society. Aub’s love of animals knew no bounds, from ferrets, to bunnies and chickens, pigs to turkeys, cats and horses, to her very special dogs Pippa and Scout – she cherished them all. So many things were important to Aub. She loved all children. Whether it be slipping them extra treats or shopping online for the cutest outfits for her granddaughter Raquel, or the nieces and nephews she loved so much. She lived for Halloween and Christmas. Halloween because she got to see all the little ones having fun in their costumes and Christmas because of the extra special time with her family. She went over the top for both holidays, making them the most festive and memorable as she could for everyone around her. One of her greatest joys was other people’s happiness. Reading was another passion of Aubray’s. From the time she was young she read every chance she got. Her ringette career was brief and she had more of a passion for other people playing sports, especially her children’s sports. Her humour was broad and sometimes too deep to grasp. In her short time she led a full and wonderful life. Her infectious laugh and big beautiful smile will be missed by those who loved her. Merry we meet, merry we part. Blessed be, so mote it be. Aubray will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Cory Abel of Weyburn; children, Nicholas Zerie (Kayla Bauer), Riley Zerie, Denni (Byron) Shangraw and Tiernan Abel; parents, David and Nancy Pulfer of White Bear, SK; granddaughter, Raquel Shangraw; brothers, Daniel (Moria) Pulfer of Weyburn, Thad Pulfer (Catherine Kambeitz) of Saskatoon, Joshua Pulfer (Angela Hewitt) of Weyburn; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Darren (Jodi) Abel of Weyburn, Lisa Abel (Darryl Wolter) of Red Deer, AB, and Rhonda (Tyler) Nielson of Regina; nieces and nephews, Hayden, Mackenzie, Fallon, Addalyn, Owen, Tatum, Piper, Aspen, Acacia and Bodhi; father-in-law, Ron Abel of Weyburn; grandma, Daisy Hill of Weyburn, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
