Annabelle Kilback passed away peacefully August 9, 2013 at Weyburn Special Care Home with her family at her side. Annabelle was born October 30, 1930 on a farm east of Trossachs to William and Mary Gilfoil (Bernard), the third of nine children. After graduating, she became a study supervisor at Brokenshell School, where at this time she met Harold Kilback and they were married on October 7, 1950. They started farming four miles south of Talmage. They farmed there for 13 years. In 1963 they bought the farm four and a half miles east of Cedoux. In 1977 they sold the farm and moved into Weyburn. In 1985 they missed farming so went farming again, this time five miles North of Weyburn. Then in 2002 they decided to make the move back to Weyburn. Annabelle was a hard working home maker who grew a large garden and canned and froze vegetables and fruit all summer long so her family would be provided for the coming year. Her home was always neat as a pin and when company came there was always a welcome and plenty of food and hospitality. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whenever they needed her she was always there. Annabelle also enjoyed her curling and the Atlanta Braves. She also enjoyed her winter holidays in Texas. Annabelle was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and sister-in-law. Annabelle is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Harold Kilback and their five children; Janice (Les) Johnson, Saskatoon, Marg (Gerald), St. Hilaire, Weyburn, Jim (Wendy) Kilback, Weyburn, Larry Killback, Weyburn, John (Paula) Kilback, Olds, AB; nine grand children; nine great grand children as well as brother, Jerry Gilfoil; sister, Louise (Larry) Lindstrom; sister-in-laws: Myrna (Tom) Jenkins, Doreen Kilback; brother-in-laws: Rob Kilback, Howard Sutherland (Kay) and sister-in-law Chris (Al) Wineberger. Annabelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A funeral service was held at Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK on August 13 at 1:00 pm with Marj McLeod, CLA officiating.
