Anna Elizabeth Didrick

Anna Elizabeth Didrick, my loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and my best friend. I could stand here today and talk about all the great memories we shared with my mother, but my mother was a very simple woman and I know she would not want me to do that. We all hold our memories of her dear to our hearts and that is how she would want it to be. Anna was the youngest of five children born to Joe and Matilda Kessler. She always held her family, friends and her faith in God very dear to her heart. On Thursday Mom said to me she had taken my eyes, but I told her no mom I have your eyes you gave to me when I was born. Now I know what she meant, she was showing what to do through my eyes and the journey to follow. Father gave her final blessings four times on Thursday night and then she looked up at Father and said, you are such a good man. She was my mother and still to this very day she is still telling me what to do, imagine that. They are always with us, never far away. Until her final moments she kept us at ease and when it was time I allowed her to go in peace that it was ok, we would be alright, and then it was ok with her to take her final journey. We will miss you and forever love you and someday we will meet again, until that time may you be at peace for now your struggle on earth has come to an end. All our love to you from your family and friends. Good-bye for now my gentle lady. I love you mom. "I cried when you passed away, I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me that he only takes the best." ~ Eulogy of Anna Elizabeth Didrick by Lorraine Douglas.
