Andrea Faye Daer late of Regina passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the age of 27 years. Andrea is survived by her parents, Dave and Colette; her sisters, Amanda (Kirk Moore) and their daughter, Reese and son, Easton, and Alanna (Cody Cossar); her grandparents, Andre and Angeline Claude; her aunts and uncles, Linda (Dave) Daku, Gisele (Larry) Shymkowich, Ray Claude, Jo-Ann (Walter) Paxman, Ron Claude, Mike (Lynn) Claude, Dolly Scrupps, Ann Olson, Ed (Elaine) Daer, Ross Joorisity; as well as numerous cousins and friends. Andrea was born on June 30, 1984. She attended St. Dominic Savio School, St. Michael School, and graduated from the Weyburn Comp. in 2002. She started working at the Wholesale Club when she was 15 and continued working there until she decided to move to Saskatoon and take Recreation and Tourism Management at SIAST. She spent her summers working with kids as a day camp supervisor, or as a mobile playground supervisor. She spent some time in Regina working at Curves, and for the city of Regina as a rec. center supervisor. She was then fortunate enough to be able to travel to Thailand which she loved. Once she returned, she stayed in Weyburn for a few months until the travel bug hit and she moved to Kananaskas to work at Kananaskas Outfitters. Andrea then worked in Calgary at the Optimum Wellness Centre until October of 2011 when she suffered a seizure and was later hospitalized with Acute Renal Failure. After a few weeks of dialysis she was discharged with her kidneys doing their job and the seizure a mystery. She returned back home to be closer to family and friends. Andrea worked at Reality Bites where I am sure she spent more money than she earned. Andrea was saddened to experience two more seizures, but that didn't stop her from moving to Regina where she found an apartment and a job working for YWCA. Sadly it was not meant to be and Andrea passed away suddenly after working a night shift on May 18, 2012. Andrea always had a positive attitude and smile for everyone. We will miss her energy and laughter. A prayer service was held on Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00 pm from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Weyburn. A funeral mass was held Wednesday, May 23 at 1:00 PM from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Weyburn, both services with Father Gerry Bauche celebrating.
