On Monday, February 1, 2016 Adeline Jessie Deitz passed away at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her husband, George; son, Phillip; parents, Harold and Jessie Richards and brother, Marvin Richards. Adeline is survived by her daughter, Brenda (William) Kraft of Saskatoon; son, Garth (Nadine) of Estevan; daughter-in-law, Catherine Campbell of Saskatoon; grandson, Christopher (Melissa) Deitz; granddaughters, Michelle (Dwayne) Onufreychuk, Kirsten (Matthew) Walliser, Kyla Deitz; great grandchildren, Jacob, Sophia, Gabrielle Deitz, Eli and Luke Onufreychuk and Micah Walliser, as well as sisters-in-law, Madeline Richards and Lorraine Tardit and numerous nieces and nephews. Adeline was born on June 17, 1935. She married George Deitz on June 24, 1950 and to their union three children were born. George and Adeline lived in numerous communities while George worked on the CNR. Adeline started to work in retail as a grocery clerk in the Bengough Red and White Store. In 1969 George and Adeline moved to Weyburn where they resided ever since. Adeline worked in the Woolworths store and then she went to work in the Met Store until she retired. Adeline was a lifetime member of the Royal Purple and she was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid softball player and she was a coach for the Pee Wee Girls softball team in Bengough. Adeline would take her kids camping or to a cabin in the summer. George and Adeline eventually bought a cabin at White Bear Lake (Carlyle). Later they sold the cabin and bought a motorhome to go on trips to see their children. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived her life to fullest that she could. The Funeral Service was held Saturday, February 6, at 2:00 p.m. from Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, with Reverend M. Barnabas officiating. Interment followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers were Dan Richards, Wade Richards, Rodney Richards, Vern Duncan, Earl Duncan and Robert Hepburn.
